THE GOOD AND OH SO SAD

CREME OF NATURE- This was the very first hair product my mother ever used
in my hair. The original brand used to leave my hair so soft and manageable after a 10 minute wash. Now, they have changed their look and have decided to go with a more organic approach. Some ingredients you can find in their products are coconut oil, sunflower, chamomile, and comfrey. I don't know about you, but the new Creme of nature usually leaves my hair a little bit heavier and drier than ever before. I'm extremely disappointed in the new change. How about you?

PAUL MITCHELL- I was in a local Super Cut salon one day and noticed that they were selling the full line of Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Lavendar Mint. I decided to give the shampoo a try for 3 months. It honestly gave my scalp a tingling feeling as though it was stimulating my pores and promoting some growth. Also, the smell was delicious and filled up my whole apartment. However, I would only use this as a clarifying shampoo becuase it doesn't help to moisturize the hair at all. What do you think?

HERBAL ESSENCE- This past June I decided to take on an Herbal Essence Challenge and try their Hello Hydration 2-1 Shampoo/Conditioner. I was expecting it to do more for my hair but after rinsing it out it just tangled up my hair and left knots in it. The ingredients state that it has silk protein but I felt not one silky strand of hair in my head. Plus, these products carry sulfate and I try to stay far away from that. Despite the bad experience, it did leave my hair smelling fresh for a whole 2 days. The Hawaiian Coconut and orchid no matter what left my hair smelling the same way it did when I first stepped out the shower. What's your take on this product?

ORGANIX-  I just recently purchased this anti-breakage serum today for $7.40 at CVS Pharmacy. I went everywhere to find something with coconut oil and I finally succeeded! This serum has "organic coconut milk to nourish your hair...ultra whipped egg white proteins  add strength and elasticity, along with weightless coconut oils for hydration and balance." It's a very slick formula that has a slight shine to it. It's not extremely oily at all but it still provides a good enough shine for your hair. I placed it on my ends since it's speciality is to promote anti-breakage. Hopefully this product doesn't steer me wrong. I will keep you all posted! I may just even try their cherry blossom shampoo! If you would like to try the whole line of Organix's Nourishing Coconut Milk you can most likely find it in your local CVS Pharmacy or Targets. If you've tried this product, what were your experiences?

DOO GRO- The Doo Gro products have been a part of my hair life for quite a while now. I've been using their products since high school. I used to use their thickening shampoo and conditioner but noticed that they were both making my hair feel too tough and didn't detangle it at all. However, their stimulating growth oil really fed my scalp. It made it feel moist and constantly oily. I also got a few itching here and there but didn't really pay attention to it. I figure it was all apart of how the oil works. To this day I still use my Doo Gro Stimulating Growth oil for hot oil treatments or just to hydrate my scalp. You can DEFINITELY locate this line in Walgreens or any other beauty supply salon. Let me know what you think.

HOLLYWOOD BEAUTYMy first acquaintance to Hollywood Beauty was about three years ago when I was a sophomore in college. One of my roommates was and is a natural girl and introduced me to the olive oil. I used it for heat protection and straightening my hair. It made it feel very nice and shiny. As a year went by I replaced the olive oil with Organic Root Stimulator's Olive Oil heat serum and forgot all about Hollywood Beauty. As I was in Walgreens one day, I noticed the Hollywood Beauty Castor Oil. At the time I was using BB's Castor oil cream and wanted to try a different brand. After purchasing this product I will never replace it with any other castor oil product. It is a grease, but it penetrates the hair and nourishes the scalp. I have seen some growth after using this product, especially on my edges. Have you ever used any of HollyWood Beauty's products? If so, what was your reaction?
